Warburn Estate

Chateau Leonard Imports

The wine on everyone's lips

An exceptional range of wines, Warburn is produced from grapes grown on specially designated vines in Barossa and Eden Valley plus South Eastern Australia. Only the most outstanding parcels of grapes are chosen for these hand-crafted wines. White wines are noted for their freshness and intensity of fruit, while only the most outstanding barrels of each vintage of red wines carry the Warburn brand.

Tasting Notes: Warburn Premium Reserve Chardonnay

Distinct citrus characters, with underlying vanilla oak. Crisp citrus lime flavours are immediately evident, with hints of stone fruit balanced by vanillin oak characters. The buttery mouth feel emphasises the complexity of this wine.

Serving Suggestions:
An extremely food friendly wine. Its clean acidity is a perfect foil for the spiciness of Thai food and other light Asian dishes. White meats and seafood are other excellent partners.

Tasting Notes: Warburn Premium Reserve Cabernet Merlot

The bouquet offers a mix of berry, olive and warm earthy aromas. The palate is full, round and velvety, displaying cinnamon, spice and sweet red fruit with a touch of cedar. Balanced by soft, fine tannins, it evolves into a very pleasant, round finish.

Serving Suggestions:
A full soft wine with fruit and oak characters, lends itself mostly to long cooked and braised red meat dishes such as braised oxtail and pot roast veal with red wine and mushrooms.

Tasting Notes: Warburn Premium Reserve Shiraz

The accent is on spices with focused fruit, dark berries and earthy aromas. The palate displays ripe blackberries and spice followed by savoury overtones, all supported by a deft touch of oak from 12 months maturation. Soft tannins round off a precise and well-made Shiraz.

Serving Suggestions:
Everyone knows Shiraz loves lamb, and this one is no different, Try with roast lamb, lamb tagine and Italian style braises such as Stracotto di manzo.
